Methodology
How the lab separates verified compatibility, partial evidence, conflicts and unknown combinations.
Four evidence states
Verified means the exact camera is in the encoded manufacturer-tested set. Partial means the brand/system matches but the exact body is not individually verified here. Fail is reserved for a clear system or radio-protocol conflict. Unknown means there is not enough evidence to claim either compatibility or incompatibility.
Chain logic
Camera-to-trigger support is evaluated separately from trigger-to-flash radio protocol. Only after those layers pass does the lab evaluate TTL, HSS, rear-curtain sync and remote power. Shared frequency alone does not establish radio interoperability.
Firmware and camera settings
Firmware can change compatibility, and manufacturers publish body-specific caveats. Camera modes such as silent shutter, electronic front curtain and wireless-flash settings can also change behavior. Critical setups should always be tested before a paid assignment.
Conservative by design
An unlisted model is not automatically incompatible. This project prefers an honest Unknown or Partial status over a guessed Pass or false Fail.
